Responsibilities:
- Responsible and plan for the merchandising activities for a product line, including new program development.
- Ensure that fabric/trims/protos/sales man samples are developed to meet buyer's requirements (to develop alternatives and liase with buyers), adequate quotations are negotiatede and obtained to achieve business objectives - follow up on development.
- Costing and pricing, review quotation.
- Capacity planning and factory allocation.
- Quota reservation and movement, whenever required.
- Sourcing activities - new and potential factories.
- To monitor order tracking activities to meet quantity, quality, order specification, and delivery date requirements.
- To work with factories on lead times, capture shipping windows, and salesman samples delivery.
- Handles and troubleshoots production problems and works with the factory to present alternatives to both buyers and management.
- maintain and update system data.
- Day-to-day communication, email/fax on status tracking on production/delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in luxury merchandising or a related field, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends and opportunities in the luxury market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective merchandising strategies.
