Clipper Stad Amsterdam is a vessel with a story. Built by Randstad’s founder Frits Goldschemding and the City of Amsterdam, the Clipper is a historical reconstruction of a mid-19th century clipper ship. During its construction, the Clipper provided work experience for 138 people, equipping them with the skills to succeed in the workforce. She is 76 metres long and carries 31 sails with a total area of 2,200 square metres. In August 2023, Clipper Stad Amsterdam departs on a two-year voyage around the world. During the world tour the Clipper will visit iconic cities like Tokyo, Shanghai, Sydney, Singapore, Mumbai, Cape Town, New York. In June 2024, it will visit Shanghai and Hong Kong SAR for the first time.
