This position plays a key role in managing and growing key accounts / developing new business opportunities for their range of specialized industrial oils and fluids within the machine tool ecosystem. Key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and pursuing new sales leads and business opportunities within the target industries (machine tool builders, end-users, component manufacturers, integrators).
- Managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Developing a deep understanding of customer applications and technical requirements to effectively recommend suitable product solutions.
- Collaborating with the technical team to provide application support and troubleshoot issues.
- Achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall business objectives for the region.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and providing feedback to management.
- Preparing regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and market intelligence.
- Representing the company professionally at industry events and customer meetings.
skills and experience required.
- Essential: Proven experience working within or selling directly to the machine tool industry. Alternatively, significant experience in related upstream sectors such as machine tool components, industrial automation/integration for manufacturing, or selling technical consumables/fluids into the metalworking sector.
- Demonstrable track record in a sales, key account management, technical sales, or business development role within an industrial B2B environment.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly metalworking and machining operations. Familiarity with industrial lubricants, coolants, or cutting fluids is highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with engineers and procurement professionals.
- Proactive, self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
