My client, an environmental technology company and a global leader in industrial air filtration is looking for a seasoned candidate in charge of its China technical team.
about the job:
- Lead and develop the Extraction & Filtration Product Application and Project Management team.
- The department delivers support at a high technical standard and in full compliance with external regulations as well internal standards and guidelines and thereby supporting the position as a high quality and premium priced supplier in the Chinese market.
- Ensure close and proactive collaboration with the sales organization as well as with other internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales organization, marketing and dealers to identify customers’/market needs.
- Analyze and translate customer’s needs / requests into system designs technical proposals and applicable solutions. Counter signature on key Quotations especially on Solutions Sales.
- Review technical agreements and project execution process for specified applications to ensure the order fulfilment be in line with procedure and customers’ expectations.
- Significant level of direct customer interaction is a key element of the role. 30-60 travel days annually should be expected. (Most in China but occasionally also internationally).
- Provide technical training internally and externally; for the organization, dealers/channel partners and customers.
- Support the strategy process in the company from a technical and application angle.
qualifications:
- At mindset/personality set for strong collaboration. Team leadership experience.
- Experience working with and within an international organization and a deep-rooted understanding of the importance of always working in full compliance with external rules as well as with rules and guidelines.
- Bachelor or above degree majoring in Mechanic, Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 10 years sales application, product engineering, or technical support experience with metal manufacturing, automotive and machining industry, preferably with progressive management experience.
- Strategic product management skills – Understanding of how products move through their lifecycle and how to maximize margin at each stage for new applications or industries.
- Good oral and written English is a must.
