Business Growth:
- Craft and execute a strategic growth plan, pinpointing opportunities for product expansion, channel diversification, and partnership cultivation, and devise strategies to foster sustained business development.
- Oversee and refine operational workflows within China.
- Deliver insightful regional analyses (competitive landscape, consumer behavior, market trends) through field visits, networking, and comprehensive market research.
- Collaborate with the China Head and team on pivotal growth initiatives, taking on a project management role to ensure progress aligns with objectives.
Business Trading:
- Guarantee the attainment of China's sales, margin, and EBITA targets.
- Utilize KPIs to manage business transactions, assess trade partner and distributor performance, and uncover commercial prospects.
- Devise and implement strategies for seasonal stock management to mitigate risks, bolster sales, and enhance inventory turnover.
- Coordinate with Operations and internal teams to ensure product supply stability and increase product availability across all sales channels.
Strategic Planning:
- Conduct thorough research into industry dynamics, market trends, competitive analysis, and future projections.
- Engage in the creation of long-term strategic plans, including sector-specific business strategies and market entry tactics.
- Communicate China's strategic direction to senior management to secure support and alignment.
- Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of key strategic projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes.
- Routinely conduct market research, gather competitor data, and analyze market opportunities and threats to inform product and service innovation.
Brand and Product:
- Adapt and evolve the brand proposition and development strategy for the Chinese market, and create comprehensive marketing communication plans, campaigns, and content to maximize brand visibility and impact.
- Develop a product portfolio strategy for China, partnering with the NPD team to navigate the entire NPD process, catering to market demands and driving business growth.
- Partner with the Commercial and International Product Development teams to refine product range, line management, and pricing strategies tailored for the Chinese market.
- Engage in regular pricing and promotional benchmarking to sustain competitiveness.
Business Operations:
- Interface with the International Supply Chain, Global Supply Chain team, and Buying team to oversee ongoing supply management, ensuring precise demand forecasting and provision of innovative products.
- Ensure all partners adhere to corporate principles, safeguarding the brand's integrity.
- Collaborate with International Finance to manage monthly expenditures and forecasts for all brand activities, with a focus on timely internal approvals.
Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture trust-based, two-way communications, and manage regular review processes with B2B and B2C partners to drive performance and achieve cross-functional collaboration for optimal outcomes.
- Assist the China Head in identifying expansion opportunities, preparing documentation, and providing input for partner selection, model, and commercial framework discussions.
- Forge robust collaborative relationships within the company, spanning Commercial, Marketing, Partner Management, Operations, and Digital teams.
skills and experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in economic management, marketing, statistics, or related fields; advanced degrees like MBA, EMBA are preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience in commercial business management with a strong foundation in strategy, sales, marketing, and operations, particularly within China.
- Proficient in Mandarin and English for business communication.
- Exceptional strategic and analytical skills, with a proven track record in multi-channel strategy and management, and a customer-centric focus.
- Well-developed commercial acumen and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to effectively manage internal and external partnerships, with strong stakeholder engagement, project management, negotiation, and networking abilities.
- A dynamic personality suited to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, and the capacity to perform under high-pressure situations.
