Position Overview: The Training Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance and productivity of our retail teams by developing and implementing comprehensive training programs. This position is responsible for designing and delivering training sessions, evaluating training effectiveness, and ensuring that all retail staff meet the company's standards for customer service and sales excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
- Design and develop training programs that address the needs of the retail teams, including customer service, product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.
- Update and revise training materials to reflect changes in company policies, new product launches, and market trends.
Training Delivery:
- Conduct training sessions for new hires, existing staff, and management teams, both in-person and virtually.
- Utilize various training methods, including role-playing, workshops, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
Training Evaluation:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance training outcomes.
Staff Development:
- Work closely with the HR team to identify training needs and career development opportunities for retail staff.
- Develop and implement a mentorship or coaching program to support staff growth and advancement.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Monitor and report on training compliance to ensure all staff are up-to-date with required training.
Budget Management:
- Manage the training budget, including identifying cost-effective training solutions and tracking expenses.
- Seek out and leverage external training resources and partnerships to enhance training offerings.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with store managers, district managers, and other stakeholders to understand their training needs and expectations.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to keep them informed of training initiatives and progress.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in training or human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse audience. Proficiency in training program design and evaluation.
- Software: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
- Certifications: Certifications in training or instructional design, such as CPT (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or ISPI (International Society for Performance Improvement), are desirable.
