The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities, with a focus on expanding beyond our current core offerings and markets. This role is critical in shaping the future growth of the company.
Job Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a strategic business development plan: Identify and assess new market opportunities, including online (ecommerce/DY/Red )& offline (institutions, offline, other channels collaboration (Insurance, travel companies, medical services etc), and new product categories like adult wipes and other adult products.
2. Lead the development of new business relationships: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in targeted sectors, including potential partners, distributors, and customers.
3. Explore and implement new sales channels: Research and implement new sales channels, such as social selling through WeChat, Red, and other platforms.
4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
5. Develop and pitch compelling business proposals: Create persuasive presentations and proposals to win new business.
6. Negotiate and close deals: Secure new partnerships, distributorships, and customer agreements.
7. Manage and track progress: Develop and manage a pipeline of potential deals, track progress, and report on key metrics.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in business development: Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in developing and executing new business strategies.
2. Experience in the personal care industry: Strong knowledge and understanding of the industry landscape, including key players, trends, and challenges.
3. Strong sales and negotiation skills: Ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, and close deals.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills: Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
