Responsibilities:
Quality Control & Assurance:
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
- Ensure all products meet internal and external quality specifications.
- Oversee product testing, inspections, and certifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Process Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, rework, and product recalls.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to optimize quality control processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and drive effective solutions.
Supplier & Customer Relations:
- Manage the quality of raw materials and components from local and international suppliers.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier audits and collaborate with vendors to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop the quality assurance team in the factory.
- Conduct training sessions to raise awareness and understanding of quality processes among staff.
- Perform regular performance evaluations and provide development plans for team members.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all products meet Vietnamese regulatory requirements and relevant international standards (e.g., CE, RoHS, REACH).
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for audits by local authorities and international customers.
- Lead the factory in preparations for external quality and safety audits.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate reports on key quality metrics such as defect rates, rework levels, and customer satisfaction.
- Document all quality control activities, including test results, audits, and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector in Vietnam or Southeast Asia preferred.
- Knowledge of international quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) and Vietnamese regulations.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in quality management tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English, Vietnamese is better.
- Experience with ERP and quality management software.
