As a Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s procurement activities, contract management, and tender processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of combined experience in a law firm plus in-house legal department, with a focus on procurement, contract negotiation, and tender documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Support:
Provide legal advice and support for procurement activities, including vendor selection, supplier agreements, and risk assessment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements throughout the procurement process.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including supply agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and framework agreements.
Manage contract lifecycle, including amendments, renewals, and terminations.
Tender Documentation:
Prepare and review tender documents, including RFPs, RFQs, and bidding guidelines.
Advise on legal and regulatory requirements related to public and private tenders.
Pre-Negotiation Support:
Participate in early-stage negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and other third parties.
Identify and mitigate legal risks during the negotiation process.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in procurement and contract management.
Identify and address potential legal risks in procurement and tender processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement, finance, and business teams to align legal support with business objectives.
Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement and contract-related legal issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a reputable institution; a Master’s degree (LLM) is a must.
Passed PRC bar test.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
Proven track record in procurement, contract management, and tender documentation.
Experience in early-stage negotiations and risk assessment.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
