about the role
- Define and execute a business development strategy aligned with corporate priorities in China.
- Identify and secure partnerships (licensing, co-development, M&A) with biotech, pharma, and tech innovators.
- Lead end-to-end deal processes, from sourcing to negotiation and closure.
- Build and leverage a high-level network with industry leaders, KOLs, and investors.
- Navigate complex internal and external stakeholder landscapes to drive alignment.
about the candidate
- 6+ years in BD, licensing, or deal-making (life sciences, electronics, or investment banking, or private equity sectors).
- Proven track record of closing strategic deals in China.
- Bilingual fluency (English & Mandarin) and deep understanding of China’s regulatory/business environment.
- Mix of strategic vision and execution grit—able to influence decisions and solve problems creatively.
- Low ego, high impact—a collaborative leader who thrives in matrixed organizations.
